Answer the Call
By Ed Ju
Arise thy soul, my tongue and lips attest
The eyes I seek the voice I wonder for.
Beneath the wings, both staunch and strong I rest,
I dream the heaven’s sky where I shall soar.
Despite mere flesh disgust and lust become,
Thy breath belongs to Him! Thou’st been deciev’d?
Always thy King and soon thy King to come,
So near and seek for those who ask’d receive’d.
To those that mock who know no truth a fool,
I tell you this: ‘when rain begin to fall,
There no more time, is then too late it’s cruel.
For time to end will be to thy appall.
Each fallen tear each desp’rate cry was seen,
So hear: ‘Return is near, the call foreseen.’
